“Wohnbach Forest Christmas” is celebrated every year at the hunting lodge of the hunting tenants of the Wohnbach Forest. On the morning of December 24th, the pastors of the Münzenberg community and the music band (Münzenberger Stadtkapelle) meet for a forest Christmas, to which the hunting tenants of Wohnbacher Walldes invite you. In addition to many visitors from the surrounding communities, riders and dog owners come to enjoy pretzels, cheese sticks, coffee and mulled wine🐎🦮🎄😉😅😅

The stone house has been in the Wohnbach forest for decades.

Construction of the stone house began as early as 1856.

Contrary to what one might suspect, the application 'for the construction of a forest workers' shelter' was not submitted by the community of Wohnbach, but by the community of Wölfersheim.
At that time, the Wölfersheimers had leased the rights to use the forest from the Wohnbachers.

Construction was completed in the same year.
Unlike today, one was dependent on local building materials. The stones for the house come from a ditch next to the Roman road.

The "Jagdhütte Steineners Haus" was built in 1856. It's clearly written on the outside.
The hut is locked, there are benches around it. Since it is closed, it is not suitable as a shelter. The paths meet here from 4 sides are well paved with gravel and easy to drive on.
