After the city limits, there is a well-developed, spatially separated cycle path on the right of the lane, but it is open in both directions. So be careful of oncoming cyclists! But when going downhill, I always stay on the road, as you can keep up with the cars anyway.

I actually don't think the climb to Goppeln is nice. Nevertheless, I drive along here quite often, as besides the road to Kreischa it is the best way out of Dresden in the south.
The way out of Dresden via the ascent to Goppeln and further in the direction of Rabenau and the Erzgebirge is ideal as the beginning of a cycle tour with many meters of altitude.
