Incidentally, the street was named after Konrad Zuse, a German civil engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur (Zuse KG). With his development of the Z3 in 1941, Zuse built the first functional, fully automatic, program-controlled, and freely programmable computer operating in binary floating-point arithmetic, thus becoming the world's first functional computer.

The Borussia Park, Borussia MG football stadium, the Hockeypark, Europe's largest hockey stadium, and the “Theater im Nordpark” (TiN) are located on the grounds of the Nordpark. Today there are 17 completely renovated buildings in the so-called monument area of Konrad-Zuse-Ring, which were erected at the beginning of the 20th century. From 1904 to the 2nd World War they were a pupil's facility and from 1945 to 1996 the British Army of the Rhine used them as barracks. Today the Rhine Army has withdrawn to the area on the other side of Gladbacher Strasse, the Südpark.
