The Attenloher Filze and Mariensteiner Moors are among the special moorland areas in the pre-Alpine moorland and hill country. They were formed at the end of the last ice age. There is a five-kilometer circular trail through the area. Here you can gain insights into the unique vegetation of the moorland landscapes. Butterflies, such as the rare Scabious Fritillary and the dark Meadow Blue, thrive here. To protect these rare animals and plants, it is very important that you stay on the paths.
