Vandring
This piece of Rur was straightened at some point. The weir and the numerous oxbow lakes, mostly on the right-hand side, attest to this. These oxbow lakes and the floodplain landscapes are an excellent habitat for many animals, including beavers. You can marvel at the results of the work of beavers in many places, unfortunately the beavers themselves are very shy.

As a child (at 15) I drove here with the rubber dinghy and got a lot of leeches when getting in and out. The place is just gorgeous. TIP: In front of the bridge, a path turns left, over a small bridge. Here, pure nature is announced and you get deeper into the nature reserve.
