With the church ruins at Arcoplatz, the former monastery church and the castle of the Counts of Leiningen-Billigheim, the Billigheim district has three interesting testimonies from different eras and aspects of its rich history.

Here you can see the apse of the former Gothic parish church. Already in the 9th or 10th century a wooden chapel was built on this site, which was dedicated to the Archangel Michael and in the 11th / 12th century. Century was destroyed by fire. The name of the square comes from the Count of Leiningen-Billigheim, in memory of his wife Gabriele von Leiningen, née von Arco.
