The Mariannenpark stands as a monument of garden and landscape design on the list of cultural monuments of the state of Saxony, as it has preserved a rare and significant example of a Volksgarten in the architectural style of the early 20th century. In Germany, there are hardly any comparable, relatively unadulterated Volksparks of this size.
