Unfortunately it is not splashing here at the moment (Sept. 2023), but it is quite wet around the beautiful fountain. It is hidden in the bushes, but can be easily recognized by the beautiful seating area (directly opposite).
“The old well trough was destroyed by felling work at the end of the 1990s. The remains are at the skull hut [to the right of the entrance area]. The stonemason Joachim Roth from Esthal designed the new fountain trough. The PWV Maikammer/Alsterweiler donated the seating group. The handover took place with a celebration in 1999.”

Unfortunately in April 23 hardly any water. Not enough to skim and the overflow is dry. So as a water source for trekking no longer conceivable...
