Located on the west coast of South Harris, Luskentyre is one of the biggest and most beautiful beaches on the island. The award-winning beach stretches for miles and miles, surrounded by blue waters and sand dunes, enjoying views over the island of Taransay, famous as the setting for BBC's Castaway series. The bay is a lovely place to stop for lunch or to camp. The light here is especially stunning in Spring and late Summer, when the low sun casts shadows over the sand dunes.
