The picturesque heath village of Wilsede is closed to motor vehicles and can only be reached on foot, by bike or by horse-drawn carriage. There are several old farms here and you can learn a lot about life in the Lüneburg Heath in the “Dat Ole Hus” museum. There are several inns where you can eat and drink.

The small town of Wilsede in the heart of the Lüneburg Heath is a sleepy nest almost all year round! However, when the sun shines in August and the heather starts to bloom, visitors from all over the world come to enjoy the beautiful heather landscape. Wilsede is practically the center of this spectacle. As a cyclist or hiker, you can get a lot of information about the heather, souvenirs and of course coffee and cake! You MUST visit this place!
