Oberdiebach belongs to the Rhein-Nahe Association and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. It has beautiful old buildings and beautiful surroundings.

Oberdiebach belonged with Bacharach, Rheindiebach and Manubach to the "Viertälergemeinde". The village passed from St. Andreasstift in Cologne to the Count Palatine.

Vandring
Oberdiebach has some very beautiful half-timbered houses. Probably the oldest Gothic house, built in 1369, is "Im Kräuterberg". The houses “Im Wiesenviertel” are also worth seeing. Not to be forgotten is the St. Mauritius Church, built in the 14th century.
There are many beautiful hiking trails around Oberdiebach. The trip to the Exmoor ponies is particularly worthwhile for families. They have been running around freely in a large fenced area for over 10 years. They keep the area in a former vineyard area free. They are currently supported by goats.
