In Niforeika, there is a renowned woodcarving workshop often associated with the artist Nikos Karapanos (or a local woodcarving tradition).
The workshop specializes in working with local wood, often olive or poplar, creating both religious motifs and modern abstract forms.
Visitors can often watch the artist at work. It's an authentic glimpse into Greek craftsmanship away from the major tourist centers.
