    Slottet blev bygget fra 1679 til 1687 for Oettingen-Spielberg-linjen af Mathias Weiß fra Kassel og udsmykket med storslåede stukarbejder af Mathias Schmuzer fra Wessobrunn. En særlig oplevelse er tematiske og særlige rundvisninger gennem residensrummene og gennem slotsmuseet.
