During the hot season, prepare your water or electrolytes in Xalitzintla for the hike up this area, as dehydration will set in later in the day, and there are no refreshment stops.
If you're descending from Paso de Cortés toward Xalitzintla, you'll feel the chill of the volcanoes.
Depending on the route or destination you've planned, passing through here is not only beautiful, but also a joy with the volcanoes so close and visible.
