Corippo is the smallest political municipality in Switzerland by number of inhabitants. The village center was listed as a historical monument in 1975 and was awarded exemplary status. The heap village is located at 552 m above sea level. M. in the valley on the right bank of the river Verzasca, at the northern end of the lake Lago di Vogorno.
