The ascent to the Hasenmatt leads mostly through the forest, directly along the north-facing river. In the upper section up to the summit, depending on weather conditions, somewhat exposed to wind.
Beyond the Hasenmatt, the trail can be continued with the steep descent through the Burgbüel towards the Althüsli mountain restaurant.
