The Hunter's Hut is located at an altitude of approximately 1,830 meters on the southern slope of the Sexten Valley and is part of the Meditation and Fable Trail, which begins at the top station of the Monte Elmo cable car (trail no. 4). The hut can be easily reached in about 20 minutes via a forest road that winds its way down towards the valley.

Not far from the ski slopes of Mount Elmo, this hut is located in a panoramic position and can be easily reached on foot. Here you can taste some typical traditional Tyrolean dishes, including speck, dumplings and an excellent homemade apple strudel.

Baita del Cacciatore is located directly on the Monte Elmo ski slopes, in a panoramic setting offering views of the Sesto Dolomites and the Pusteria Valley. It can be reached on foot in 20 minutes from the Monte Elmo cable car top station or in 30 minutes from Gasthof Waldruhe (Monte di Fuori). It is furnished with antiques and heated by a traditional stove.
It offers traditional Tyrolean cuisine: tagliatelle with game ragù, grey cheese with onions, venison with polenta and red sauerkraut.
