Mountainbiking

The Hopfensee is located north of Füssen in the Hopfen am See district, embedded in the Allgäu mountain landscape in the Bavarian district of Ostallgäu, Bavarian Swabia. With a length of up to 2.1 km and a width of 1.5 km, it is part of the city of Füssen and borders the municipality of Hopferau on its west bank.

The Hopfensee was created by the Lechtal glacier during the Würme Ice Age and is connected to the neighboring Forggensee in the east via the Hopfensee-Ach.
