The construction is probably prior to 1182 where the church is mentioned in the bull of Urban III to the bishop of Concordia.
Building with a single hall with a semicircular apse to which a rectangular sacristy was added in the 16th century.
The walls of the apse are frescoed with sixteenth-century works while along the side walls there are frescoes from the 1300s depicting some saints.
Object of the cult, in addition to the image of St. Petronilla with a kneeling devotee at his feet, placed on the right side of the triumphal arch.
