You drive 2-3 km on gravel over the border, but it's ridable with a racing bike, I pushed twice on the coarse gravel so that I didn't risk a slip with the heavy bikepacking luggage. In any case, the border crossing pays off very well with the bike, the square with the church is very nice.

Church as a symbol of a borderless Europe.
The church almost fell apart during the time of the Iron Curtain, as neither Hungarians nor Austrians could reach the church and was restored after the borders were opened.

The church is located in the middle of the forest on the Austrian-Hungarian border. Dilapidated under the communists, it has been renovated in recent years.
