The church with the beautiful ceiling painting towers above the double church on the Kirchberg. The installation of the Catholic parish is to be reached from both districts over short toxic climbs.

The patronage "Assumption of Mary" of this church refers to one of the many commemorative days or feast days in honor of the Mother of God Mary. It goes back to the feast of their physical acceptance into heaven, which the Church celebrates annually on August 15th.
In many rural areas it is common for the people to collect herbal bundles (called "Kruggweusch" in the Rhenish dialect) on this day and bless them in the festival service.
