The church is a stately Romanesque hall church with a transverse west tower of the same width and a baroque tower top. In 1519, the choir (according to an inscription on the eastern buttress) and a chapel were added on the south side, giving the impression of a transverse west tower, similar to the town church in Delitzsch. Next to it is another extension with a Renaissance gable from the second half of the 16th century. Restorations were carried out in 1852 (extensions) and in 1991 and 1997 (on the roof structure).
