The Vennquerbahn: little incline, completely car-free, zero-emission, noise-free, brilliant.
The railway line was still in use 30 years ago. In the 80's and 90's we tormented ourselves with relish on the sometimes steep inclines on the narrow country roads.

You could say that this is the extension of the Kylltal bike path to Bütgenbach. The lack of seating and the dark asphalt, you can tell how new the road is, on the flat course, that it was once a railway line.

The Bahntrassenweg on the former line was completely rebuilt to a paved Bahntrassenweg in almost 2014. 45 km of untroubled cycling fun from the Kyll to the Ambleve or Vennbahn. The differences in altitude are overcome with the typical long curves and only 1.8% incline.
