Geneva's main church, St. Peter's Cathedral, is a peculiar looking building. Architecturally, different styles meet here: construction in the Romanesque style began in 1160, and the cathedral was completed a hundred years later in the Gothic style. In the 18th century, a somewhat incongruous classical column portico was added. The ornate stained glass windows inside are particularly worth seeing and the organ is also worth a closer look.
