Mountainbiking
The Gotthard is a very beautiful pass that is easy to ride on a bike/touring bike. The tremola is steeped in history and a must see. From the top of the pass you can descend via the Pass Scimfuss into the Val Canaria and so to Airolo (the Tremola then comes into play on the way back!), but a mountain bike makes sense in the Val Canaria.
