Cykling

Between 1800 and 1830 the thatched roofs (high risk of fire) were replaced by roof tiles. The Reubacher brickworks probably came into being around this time.

Cykling

Many ponds are in slight depressions. They are fed by small streams from the fields. Too much nitrogen then enters the water with the water. This leads to a lot of algae forming and the water turns green. Swimming is no longer allowed there. The ponds are then only used as fire ponds.

This body of water is not in a depression and therefore does not have any algae forming.
The body of water is privately owned and fenced off for legal reasons (liability, insurance, etc.).
