A beautiful, small dam in a relaxed area that exudes a lot of calm. Easy to reach for everyone.

A flagstone path takes you past the reservoir. It rolls well there. Beware of oncoming vehicles. It is difficult to see them through curves/trees. After the reservoir, the slabs stop and you are on a solid forest path, albeit with some large potholes. If it has rained, it can get quite muddy here. After approx. 500 meters there is road surface again, but it is in poor condition.

"The Wallroda dam is a dam in the Free State of Saxony. The dammed body of water is the Steinbach, a left tributary of the Große Röder.

The entire dam including the adjacent forest is part of the Massenei landscape protection area. Various types of dragonflies are native to the reed-covered shores of the lake, for example the great blue arrow and the blood-red darter. "- de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talsperre_Wallroda
