A walk along the Kö doesn't necessarily have to be about shopping, even if the street is famous for it. The trees (plane trees, chestnuts) along the Kö-Graben are reflected in the sunshine (or in the winter ice) on the surface of the water. The great bridges with the lantern elements or other "accessories" such as the Triton fountain exert their attraction on the visitor. One should watch out for the legacies of the Indian ring-necked parakeets that live in the treetops (de.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%B6nigsallee_(D%C3%BCsseldorf)#Fauna).
