This bike path is part of the Sefton Coastal Path and starts at Crosby Marina. There are a few patches of quiet road to negotiate through Churchtown and Formby but you end up in Southport. The cycle path ends at the north end of Southport where Marine Drive meets the A565 at a roundabout, a total of 21 miles. There are plenty of places to stop off for a coffee and cake on the way and there are even a couple of bike shops that you will pass near to, should you need a repair.

Route 810
National Route 810 of the National Cycle Network connects central Liverpool with the southern outskirts of Southport near Ainsdale, going via Liverpool and Everton football grounds, Crosby and Formby. Ainsdale is a good path beside the sand dunes. It's a beautiful ride on a warm sunny day. Walkers and runners also use this path and other on coming cyclist.
