Sculpture group depicting the folkloric use of 'Advent bubbles': In the evenings before Sundays, Advent students blow the Advent horn, a 40 cm long, funnel-shaped, hollowed-out horn made of willow, birch or alder. The group shows three boys with horns together with a dog, a rooster, a goose and a pigeon on a rotating platform. At the side she is watching a girl with a doll.

On the western edge of the Cloppenburg district, this town has always retained its peculiarities. Löningen is a state-approved health resort and is nestled in the Haseurstromtal.
The town offers various sights that can be found in other highlights.
But we particularly recommend the St. Vitus Church and the Museum of Historical Cinema Technology, which is unique in Germany:

The state-recognized resort of Löningen is a town in the Oldenburger Münsterland. The town has around 14,000 inhabitants and is located in the extreme southwest of the Cloppenburg district.
A visit to the Catholic St. Vitus Church is mandatory. Löningen's landmark is considered to be the largest pillarless hall church in Germany.
An absolute must is a detour to the 250-year-old Schutenmühle.
Here you will find endless cycle paths along the Hase and past wide fields in a distinctive rural cultural landscape.
