Spectacular climb! One of the great unknown of the Pyrenees, one of my favorites. Hard and long climb, but the landscape and the solitude are well worth the suffering.

It is indeed the most beautiful ascent of the French Pyrenees. If you still have strength on the way down, turn left to go to Lake Orédon to go up to Lake Aumar and Auber. This will give you the most beautiful day of cycling in the Pyrenees. This road is toll but not for cyclists. No car just a shuttle bus that goes back and forth.

The Cap de Long lake is an impressive dam lake which is 2,160 meters above sea level. Its imposing dam offers a unique belvedere over the valley. As a bonus, you will find something to eat there.
