Be sure to check the opening times of the street / bridge beforehand. It is only passable on weekends. And if you want to go to Krautsand beach you have to walk 10km on the busy main road. drive. Not nice !

The beach is not comparable to that of the Baltic Sea. He is very fine-grained and dirty through the mud of the tides.

There is plenty of parking directly between the Elbe dike and this great sandy beach. At seasons, for example, fish and food stalls are at the feeder. Also a delicious gelato ice cream is available. A few relaxing days you can spend good example on the campsite located directly on the dike. For children, the beach is a paradise.
