Also on the Großfürstenplatz ripples a fountain, namely the designed by sculptor Joseph von Kopf Triton fountain. On a pedestal in the sandstone basin kneels the sea god. From the mouth of a fish bubbles in a magnificent fountain water.

Semicircular layout on the edge of the large zoo. At the center of the complex is a fountain that represents the ancient Greek sea god Triton brim fishing.
Around the fountain there are allegorical representations of four German rivers, the Vistula, the Oder, the Elbe and the Rhine.

Vandring

The "Allegories of the German Streams", which are arranged in a semicircle around the Triton Fountain, date from 1874 and once belonged to the ensemble of figures of the then newly built Königsbrücke, which led across the Königsgraben on Alexanderplatz and was demolished a short time later when this was sacrificed for the construction of the Stadtbahn. The well-known royal colonnade belonged to the bridge, which had to leave its location in 1910 and today stands at the entrance to the Kleistpark.
