The ruins of the temple of Antas are remarkable. It is a Punico-Roman temple dedicated to the worship of the eponymous Sardinian god Sid Babay Addir. It was built by the Carthaginians then the Romans took it over for themselves, attracted by the region's rich deposits of lead and iron. Behind the temple the archaeological site continues with a necropolis that can be visited. The price of the visit is 4 euros and it can be done every day of the week between 9:30 am and 7:00 pm.

In a lush valley around Iglesias lies one of Sardinia's most important Roman monuments. Originally a nuragic sanctuary, it was also used during the Carthaginian and Punic-Hellenistic periods. Built from local limestone, the sanctuary is nestled in a picturesque valley in the Fluminimaggiore area.
