A beautiful little chapel that invites hikers to linger for a moment.
It was on 2 February 2008. In the monastery church Beyenburg Maria Lichtmess was celebrated, the last church holiday in the Christmas season. Frank Schlösser photographed the snowy monastery meadow out of the monastery church. Later, when he looked closely at the photos, he discovered a sign of the cross on the meadow. This apparition, it is said, led to the construction of the chapel "Maria im Schnee" - and Ennepetal now has a pilgrimage site on Schemm, directly on the Wupper.
