There used to be a total of six mills in Frankershausen. Many are no longer recognizable today because they have been rebuilt. The history of the mills can be experienced on a walk through the town and its immediate surroundings using the information boards lovingly designed by the Geo-Nature Park Frau-Holle-Land together with the municipality of Berkatal.
