The Prehistoric Museum in Blaubeuren gives a good insight into the life of Ice Age people. In addition, many of the first works of art by modern man can be seen here: including the original Venus from Hohle Fels and the flutes from Geißenklösterle: urmu.de/de/Home.

The Urgeschichtliches Museum Blaubeuren (URMU) at Kirchplatz 10 in Blaubeuren is the central focus museum for the Palaeolithic in Baden-Württemberg. It is since 2012 branch museum of the archaeological Landesmuseum Baden-Württemberg.
The museum was founded in 1965 by Gustav Riek of the University of Tübingen. The city of Blaubeuren provided a room in the hospital for the Holy Spirit.
The museum is sponsored by the foundation "Urgeschichtliches Museum & Galerie 40.000 Jahre Kunst Blaubeuren". In 2014, the Urgeschichtliches Museum Blaubeuren was redesigned and expanded.
