Cykling

The cast iron market fountain is reminiscent of the first public water supply in Schwabenheim in 1892. As a testimony to the first industrial production of such fountains and the corresponding occasion, this system is unique in Rheinhessen. The Nackedei crowning the fountain is affectionately called "Paulchen". Every Easter the market fountain is transformed into the Schwabenheimer Easter fountain. Then over 1000 Easter eggs in bright colors adorn the "Paulchen".

A really nice fountain and also the bronze figure of the market woman is very successful.
Currently decorated as a carnival fountain with the motto:
With humor and imagination, we master the pandemic, HELAU! 🤡

The bronze figure of a market woman created by Christoph Oester has also been standing here since November 2020. The community came to it like a virgin to the child: When the breed poultry and bird breeding association dissolved due to a decline in membership and increasing requirements imposed by the association, the remaining assets went to the community.
