This path is curious. It starts in a house on the market and ends in hell.

Why is the street called Hell? Nobody knows. But the wandering monk told me that back then the poor people heated with peat, obtained directly from the Bode. Throwing fresh peat on the fire was like throwing a tear gas bomb in a closed room. You can imagine the rest.

This path is called Schuhhof. The entrance begins here through the house "Markt 52".

In the historic center of Quedlinburg there are beautiful old streets. Partly you feel right back in the Middle Ages. These streets are sometimes curious names. The Tower of Dread is a listed tower of the old city fortifications of Quedlinburg and served at the same time as a prison. Hence the name.
