Vandring
Elie Chainwalk is an exhilarating 1,640 foot (500 m) long scramble along a series of chains attached to the cliffs. It takes around two hours to complete and you will need a good level of agility, confidence, fitness, technical ability and a definite spirit of adventure. However, solidly-planted steel chains, perfectly-placed footholds, and easy-to-grip volcanic rock make it a manageable challenge for most adventurers. PLEASE NOTE the chains are submerged at high tide so make sure you set of at least TWO HOURS BEFORE high tide. For more information on tide times, visit: bbc.co.uk/weather/coast_and_sea/tide_tables/7.
