Marble mining at an altitude of almost 1000 m. When looking into the quarries below, the huge mining vehicles look like toys. If the weather permits you have a magnificent view of Carrara city and the surrounding area.

The marble quarries are incredibly impressive. It's also cool to drive through the terrain in a jeep and see the quarries up close.

The origin of "David" the quarries of Carrara. The jeep tour is still good and really impressive on weekdays at Easter. The journey alone must be hell in the summer.
Pretty narrow streets and few parking spaces. We are still behind to Collonata, where there is the Llardo bacon. I recommend the Osteria nella Pia.
