The extra-wide “separate” bicycle/pedestrian underpass is a bicycle highlight in Achau, which connects the brick barons’ cycle path with the cycle path along the Schwechat. The underpass is very spacious and offers a clear separation between cyclists and pedestrians. The underpass is part of a beautiful cycle tour from Wien Meidling to Laxenburg, which also includes the confluence of the Triesting with the Schwechat and the Wiener Neustädter Kanal. The underpass is a good example of a bicycle-friendly infrastructure in the region.
