The Josefskapelle stands on the highest point of the nature reserve "Alter Berg". The secret landmark of the Heuberg was built in 1907/08 and offers a unique 360-degree panorama.

This chapel on the "Alter Berg" is dedicated to Saint Joseph (Joseph), the foster father of Jesus Christ. Like Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, he is a man on the threshold between the Old and the New Testament. Joseph was from the house of David, one of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was a carpenter by trade and the fiancé of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The commemoration day of Saint Joseph in the calendar of saints is on March 19th, and on May 1st the church celebrates the feast of “Joseph the Worker”.
