The Fernandes, Mattos & Ca., Lda. department store was founded in 1886 and exudes an almost magical charm with its patinated wooden Art Nouveau interior. They sell high-end products from Portugal. The third floor is highly recommended. There you'll find typical Portuguese tiles, which you can see outside most buildings.
