Over 30 years of collecting passion for contemporary art form the basis of the Angerlehner Collection. The focus of the extensive collection is on painting from 1950, supplemented by drawings, photographs and sculptures. In the sense of a conscious confession to the own region a special emphasis of the collection lies on works of Upper Austrian artists. National as well as international art positions create an artistic field of tension. The numerous works of the Angerlehner Collection were all selected on the basis of personal enthusiasm. There is no strict collection concept, but an exciting variety dominates.

The Angerlehner Museum is a private museum for contemporary art. The museum, which opened in 2013, presents the art collection of the industrialist and art collector KR Heinz Josef Angerlehner (*1943) from his more than forty years of collecting in the field of contemporary art. In addition to paintings from 1950 onwards, the Angerlehner collection also includes drawings, photographs and sculptures, with a focus on Upper Austrian artists.
