Lubo Kristek (born May 8, 1943 in Brno) is a contemporary painter, sculptor and action artist of Czech origin. From 1968 to the 1990s he lived in exile in the Federal Republic of Germany. Much of his work is shaped by surrealism and abstract expressionism and shows clear traits of the fantastic realism of the Viennese school. He is one of the last remaining representatives of late surrealism.
