San Cerbone was Bishop of Populonia, who had to flee to Elba because of attacks by the Lombards. He probably lived for some time as a hermit in the area where the Kiche stands. This was around the year 573. The church is said to have been built by the Appiani in 1421. It still takes place for Walfahrten Kiche.
