Literary place linked to the work and life of Pier Paolo Pasolini, who had organized a school there in 1943 and, two years later, founded the Academy of lenga furlana, Versutta is also a symbol of the writer's Friulian youth. Of the rural churches included in the territory and dependent on the parish of San Giovanni, Sant'Antonio abbot of Versutta is undoubtedly the oldest as the foundations of the primitive oratory dating back to the X-XI century attest.

The church dedicated to St. Abbot Antonius was built in 1755 a little apart from the earlier church and expanded several times in the 19th century. The bell tower also dates from this period. The altarpiece, now mounted on one wall, dates from 1608 and depicts the Madonna Enthroned with Saints Anthony and Roch. In the side chapel (1848) there are 17th-century paintings depicting Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint represent family. 17th-century ex-voto showing Calvary.
