Fort Napoleon, a pentagonal military fortress by the sea in Ostend, is now a modern museum. The exhibition tells the story of the fort in a lively way. If you have the time and inclination, definitely recommended.

Remains of a fortress from the 18th century. Because Napoleon feared an attack from the English, he had this imposing fortress built in the dunes. Now the fortress serves as a museum about the evolution of European fortification and the Siege of Ostend.
