The refuge is located in the extreme northeast of the Aran Valley, seven kilometers from the "Plá de Beret".

The Amics de Montgarri Refuge has an incredible history. Apart from its two buildings, the 12th century temple and the 16th century building, this place has been used as a place of lodging for shepherds and smugglers.
You can book up to 35 places in its different room options with shared shower and toilet services. It also has a catering service and rental and charging for ebikes. In winter you can book snowmobile or snowshoe adventures.

This temple dates back to the 12th century, although the current building dates back to the 16th century. It has been frequented by shepherds, smugglers and today, by hikers! You can stay and eat here.
